Operations Center

 The ATO Operations Center (OPCEN) is a technical facility reporting directly to the Office of the ATO Assistant Secretary. It serves as the information center of the ATO, managing information between various divisions, sections and facilities of the Air Transportation Office, thereby becoming an active part of the mechanism that ensures the achievement of safe, reliable, economical and efficient air transportation. OPCEN also serves as the crisis management center in times of accidents and emergencies related to Philippine air transportation.
OPCEN is part of ATO's compliance with the Department of Transportation and Communications' directive, dated August 2, 2001, to establish a public response desk operating on a 24-hour basis. OPCEN equips itself with information to be able to answer queries related to ATO operations such as the status of all ATO airports, navigational aids and control/communication facilities.
